ChocoVivo is the first bean-to-bar Chocolate company in Los Angeles. The company was started by Patricia Tsai while on a trip to Oaxaca, Mexico in 2001, where she was introduced to traditional chocolate-making methods. She was mesmerized by the beauty of cacao nibs going through a stone grinder transforming chocolate from a solid form to a beautiful wet chocolate waterfall.
Patricia loves making chocolates in LA because of the city’s beautiful melting pot of culture, vibrant history, abundance of resources, and creative thinking. She also loves that the city embraces one’s uniqueness with open arms and allows people to test ideas—no matter how wild or small they may seem to be.
